美職世界大賽印地安人隊將前往小熊隊主場，這也意味著賽事將採取國聯，投手將上場打擊的狀況，然而，印地安人隊打算把強打者Carlos Santana留在先發名單中，請他改守左外野。
過去Carlos Santana主要守一壘或擔任指定打擊位置，不過到了風城芝加哥，印地安人隊總教練Terry Francona尚未公布先發陣容，但他很有可能出奇招。
「你應該去了解，現在怎樣是對我們最有利去贏球的方式。」Terry Francona說。
印地安人另一方針，就是把Mike Napoli當作代打來使用，當然Carlos Santana的火力也是無可取代。
Carlos Santana在主場就曾多次進行外野飛球練習，他自認沒問題，相信教練會做出最佳陣容。
